November Favourites

I really enjoy reading other bloggers monthly favourites and empties posts and have decided to start a favourites series of my own.  This month I’ve tried out a few new products that I’ve loved and have also returned to a couple of old favourites.

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Tropical
I know Batiste is a bit of a ‘Marmite’ product, but for me it’s a hair care essential.  Not only is it great for quickly freshening up my locks but it also adds texture at the roots.  ‘Tropical’ is a gorgeous sweet and coconut-y scent and is my new favourite version of Batiste.

Toni and Guy Shampoo for Dry Hair
The recent drop in temperature has meant that my hair has been in need of extra TLC.  I usually switch to products that are suited dry hair at this time of year to restore moisture that’s been lost.  I picked this up on a whim, as it was on offer in Boots, but I really like it!  It leaves my hair feeling softer and stronger and it also smells so good. (Ps. This does come with a lid – I’d taken it off to get at the last drops of shampoo!)

Johnson’s 24 Hour Moisturiser
This moisturiser is one I keep coming back to.  It’s great for this time of year as its thick but sinks into my skin nicely and leaves my face feeling healthy and hydrated throughout the day.

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer
This sample sachet of Smashbox’s primer was waiting for me between the sheets of the November issue of ELLE.  The clear gel glides smoothly onto my skin and makes my foundation look flawless throughout the day.  It’s excellent for oily skin and keeps my makeup looking matte.  I do really like this product, but I’m not sure I’d be willing to pay £25 for the full size product.

MAC Eyeshadows in Shroom, Shale and Pink Freeze
I used to wear MAC eye shadows religiously, but for some reason took a break from them over the summer.  Recently, I picked up my palette again and the shades I have been reaching for the most are Shroom – a shimmery beige, Shale – a mauve, browny plum and Pink Freeze – a pearly ice pink.  I’d forgotten how soft and easy to blend the formula is and how long lasting the shades are.  Pink Freeze is great for popping in the inner corner of the eye to make you look wide awake and can also be used as a highlight for the cheeks.

What have you been loving over the past month?
